What is special about this tour? -- These tours are the only comprehensive hip-hop tours of their kind that focus on how hip-hop began 30 years ago, using "live" celebrity talent as tour guides. They offer a totally comprehensive overview of the most important elements of hip-hop that were born in New York City: the DJ, the MC, the B-Boy, and Graffiti Artists.

If the tour is sold out, is there a waiting list? -- No. Tours are available on a first come, first serve basis. Tours frequently do sell out; therefore we encourage you to purchase tickets well in advance and plan the itinerary of your trip accordingly.

What ethnic, gender and/or age audience are these tours for? -- The tours are truly family friendly and great for people of any age group or cultural background who has an appreciation of old school AND new school hip-hop music. The tours have provided Reward & Recognition trips to grade-school students and their parents, and custom tours for local youth organizations and international visitors (Japanese, German, and Canadian have been the highest in attendance).

Do I really get to meet celebrities on the tours? -- Yes. The Grand Masters of Hip Hop narrate each tour. Grand Master Caz of The Cold Crush Brothers, Rahiem from Grand Master Flash & The Furious Five, Kool Herc, The Father Of Hip Hop, DJ Red Alert, Power 105 are just some of the celebrities. Each tour is led by a different Hip Hop pioneer, which may include those listed above or others.

Are there any other tours like this in the New York City area? -- This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience with a perspective and focus as only capable of being told by the Grand Masters themselves. While there are other tours that go to Harlem and do the jazz clubs no other tour provides the perspective, and insight on the total hip-hop world born and bred in New York City that these tours offer.

Is there ever a circumstance where things are omitted from the tour? -- Although it is extremely rare, sometimes the tour must be modified and certain locations must be changed or skipped. Sometimes construction, or other occurrences impact the tour route. No liability or responsibility for access to sites, activities, events, and other circumstances beyond our control is assumed.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
